Cindy is a public relations and digital marketing professional bringing 15-plus years of experience to the E&V team. She spent the first half of her career planning nationwide publicity campaigns for highly regarded authors at Algonquin Books and Viking Penguin before bringing her strategic expertise to The Splinter Group in Carrboro, North Carolina, where she led marketing for national brands and local businesses alike. A University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign alum with a degree in English, Cindy is passionate about storytelling and supporting literary initiatives. She serves on the Foundation for the Crook’s Corner Book Prize, championing debut authors who write about the American South.
