E&V is a full-service strategic communications agency based in Raleigh, NC. We’re not a traditional ad agency. We’re a conversation agency. We get people talking to each other about our clients. Online. On the phone. In the media. And in the halls and chambers of government. We’re not a vendor or a supplier. We’re a partner. A collaborator. It’s our job to help businesses and organizations find their voice and say something important and relevant – to influence public opinion or buying behaviors. We do it by listening intently, building relationships, and then making the right connections with the right people to get the job done. E&V was named one of the Best Places to Work by the Triangle Business Journal in 2020.

Responsibilities of the Part-Time Intern (Undergraduate)

The internship program at E&V introduces agency life to go-getters balancing a full plate of college courses and a part-time position at E&V. Interns are assigned one-off agency and client projects. Because they are not assigned accounts, they get to experience client work for an array of clients and industries. Our agency’s leaders believe it’s E&V’s duty to help our industry continue to grow in the Triangle and make it the best it can be for the businesses established here every day. So, we search for give-back opportunities to the community and industry, and we approach our internship program no differently. We not only invest in professional development opportunities that help our interns thrive at E&V, but also expand our sessions to industry-wide content that will benefit them throughout their careers. Throughout the internship program, interns’ managers also aim to harness and strengthen the same five key qualities all full-time E&V staff seek to demonstrate each day:

  • Drive
  • Discipline
  • Excellence
  • Mastery
  • Leadership

Responsibilities of an intern include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and executing research projects for account teams and clients.
  • Contributing to agency brainstorms and planning sessions for clients.
  • Developing targeted media lists to guide media outreach for clients.
  • Drafting media materials (e.g., media alerts, pitch notes, press releases, byline articles) and other content (e.g., blogs, talking points) for clients.
  • Using Google Analytics and available data to ensure activities are providing measurable return on investment.
